Description

In 1964, veteran stage actress and TV host Noele Gordon (Helena Bonham Carter) took the role of hotel proprietor Meg Richardson on the British soap opera "Crossroads"-and over 18 years, her efforts on the low-end but undeniably popular series pushed her into national iconography. By the early '80s, however, she was at loggerheads with producers looking to oust her-and that turbulent moment is the focus of this flashy biodrama.
